Terms & Conditions
1. What Khayyam Math is
Khayyam Math is a web-based "live diagram tutor". You type a mathematics, geometry, or science question in plain English; the service generates a custom SVG figure and a synchronised audio narration that explains it. It is provided for personal learning and exploration.
2. Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Sign-in is by email magic link. Your email address is the only personal identifier we keep against your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in link confidential and for any activity carried out under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Send prompts that try to circumvent safety filters or extract the underlying system prompts.
- Use automation, scrapers, or scripted clients to bypass the per-user rate limit or daily cost cap.
- Resell, sub-license, or commercially redistribute generated figures or audio without attribution to Khayyam Math.
- Submit prompts that contain personal data of third parties, protected health information, or trade secrets — anything that shouldn't end up in our model-improvement pipeline (see § 6).
4. Educational accuracy & limitation of liability
Khayyam Math is a tutoring aid, not an authoritative source. Each generated figure passes through an automated math-correctness inspector that catches many errors, but the service can still produce incorrect mathematics. Always verify anything you intend to cite, submit for a grade, or rely on for a real-world decision.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and Khayyam Math disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from its use, including damages for lost profit, lost data, or mathematical inaccuracy.
5. Intellectual property
- Your prompts. You retain copyright to any prompt you submit. By submitting a prompt you grant Khayyam Math a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to process the prompt to produce a figure and to use it (in fully anonymised form) to improve the underlying models — see § 6.
- Generated figures & narration. Generated
outputs are released under
CC BY-SA 4.0:
free for any use, including commercial, with attribution to Khayyam
Math and a link back to
khayyammath.com, and with derivatives released under the same licence. - Khayyam Math's brand. The name "Khayyam Math", the wordmark, and the visual identity remain ours.
6. Data & privacy
- We store your email address as a stable identifier so we can apply the daily usage quota. We never share it with third parties for marketing.
- We log every prompt + generated figure + correction pair into an internal database to improve the underlying models. Stored records are not linked to your email address; only a per-session identifier and a salted IP hash are kept alongside them.
- We use a single sign-in cookie (
sevim_auth) to remember your authenticated state. No advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies are set. - If you want your account, prompts, and any associated data deleted, email /contact and we'll process the request within 30 days.
7. Service availability
Khayyam Math is offered on a best-effort basis. We may pause, restrict, or discontinue the service for maintenance, abuse-control, or because the operating costs become unsustainable. We will give reasonable notice for planned downtime.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if you violate these terms (especially § 3) or generate cost spikes inconsistent with personal-learning use. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account via the contact form.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith correspondence will be submitted to the competent courts of Dubai.
